This website is run by Wallman City Council 2026 (“the campaign,” “we,” “us”), the committee supporting Michael Wallman's candidacy for Berkeley City Council, District 8. You can reach us at info@wallmandistrict8.com or 2930 Domingo Ave #111, Berkeley, CA 94705.

We only receive this when you choose to send it:

• Newsletter signup: your email address.
• Contact form: your name, email address, and message.
• Volunteer signup: your name, email, phone number, neighborhood, and the ways you'd like to help.
• Yard sign & merchandise orders: your name, email, phone number, delivery address, and any delivery instructions you add.
• Fair Elections contribution receipt: your name, home address, telephone, email, occupation, employer, the contribution amount and payment method, and your signature.

Ordering merchandise or contacting us may also add your email to our campaign mailing list; every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link.

The Fair Elections receipt is different: it's a required record for Berkeley's public financing program. The completed, signed receipt is retained by the campaign and provided to the City of Berkeley as the program requires (Berkeley Municipal Code Chapter 2.12), and contribution records become part of the public campaign-finance record.

When you visit the site, our host and analytics tools receive standard technical data — your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the site you came from. We use Google Ads cookies to measure the performance of our advertising and to show campaign ads to people who have visited the site. See Cookies and advertising below.

• Send campaign news, updates, and volunteer opportunities.
• Respond to your messages and questions.
• Coordinate volunteers and deliver the yard signs and merchandise you order.
• Understand how the site and our ads are performing so we can improve them.
• Comply with California campaign-finance and election law.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the campaign's tools, and only so they can perform those services for us:

• Resend — sends our email and stores our mailing list.
• Google — Sheets stores volunteer and order records; Maps/Places powers the address search on the order form; Ads handles advertising measurement and remarketing.
• Vercel — hosts the website.

We may also disclose information when required by law, including contributor information that campaign committees must report publicly, or to protect the rights and safety of the campaign and others.

The site uses Google Ads (gtag.js), which sets cookies to measure ad conversions and to let us reach past visitors with campaign ads on other sites. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

• Email: unsubscribe using the link in any email, or ask us to remove you.
• Access, correction, and deletion: email info@wallmandistrict8.com and we'll honor reasonable requests, subject to recordkeeping we're legally required to keep.
• California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of ad-related sharing, use Google Ads Settings or email us. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We keep your information for as long as you're engaged with the campaign and as long as election and campaign-finance law require, then delete or de-identify it. Mailing-list entries are kept until you unsubscribe.

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or internet transmission is completely secure.

The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
